Card Stock PRE-GAME 81/2" X 11" Newspaper Coverage courtesy of the Chicago Defender of what was the last East-West Negro League Baseball All-Star Game played Sunday August 21, 1960. This article features the starting lineups which were handed to the media two days prior to the actual game.
Among those who started in this game are: FRANK WILLIAMS - older brother of Baseball Hall-of-Famer and Chicago Cub Billy Williams; Starting pitcher Ernest "Ernie" Westfield of the Birmingham Black Barons and eventual game hero Art Hamilton, the West Team's starting catcher who hit the game-tying home run which propelled his team to victory.
