Among those who started in this game are: FRANK WILLIAMS - older brother of Baseball Hall-of-Famer and Chicago Cub Billy Williams; Starting pitcher Ernest "Ernie" Westfield of the Birmingham Black Barons and eventual game hero Art Hamilton, the West Team's starting catcher who hit the game-tying home run which propelled his team to victory.
